Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley teases storyline as she promises ‘big drama’
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has hinted at a ground-breaking “never been done before” storyline that is set to leave ITV audiences stunned.
Soap enthusiasts are bracing themselves for a jaw-dropping development as the actress has teased an unprecedented plot that is destined to rock the village’s foundations.
During an exclusive chat with Daily Star at the National Television Awards, Lisa, who portrays Mandy Dingle on the ITV drama, suggested that it would have something to do with the character Bear Wolf.
Bear, who is played by Joshua Richards, first turned up in the Dales in 2019 as the potential dad of Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt). Bear hasn’t been seen much in the soap lately, and although he was meant to be staying with a friend he was last seen living out of his car, leaving viewers guessing about where he is and what he has been up to.

Lisa has now shared a clue with fans of the soap – although she kept quiet about the details.
“The Bear stuff is sort of going to start soon and there will be clues of where he might be,” said the star.
“My father-in-law is somewhere, I can’t tell you where exactly but I can promise you there is a lot of drama where he is.”

The actress, who joined some of her castmates on the red carpet at the awards bash, went on: “That’s a big storyline coming up, which has become like our producers’ baby, so it’s going to be a big deal.”
She continued: “I can’t give you any clue but I told my other half and he said that’s never been done before. And yeah, it’s never been done in a drama, ever.”
Lisa is one of the soap’s long serving stars, having first appeared as Mandy in 30 years ago.
She was a regular in the soap until 2001, when she exited the Dales. However, she then reprised the role of Mandy in 2019.
