EastEnders star threatens to ‘kick’ Celebrity Antiques Road Trip dealer ‘in the shins’ on Devon visit

EastEnders star Laila Morse threatened to ‘kick a dealer in the shins’ for a better deal, leaving a Celebrity Antiques Road Trip expert ‘worried’.

The 80-year-old actress appeared on the popular BBC show, which was repeated on Thursday, alongside her former EastEnders co-star Rita Simons.
The duo, known for their roles on the beloved soap, scoured Devon for antique treasures with the help of experts Catherine Southon and Angus Ashworth, aiming to make a profit.
As they journeyed through Devon, Rita and Laila discussed their haggling strategies, with Rita admitting she isn’t shy about using her charm to secure a better price.
When paired with expert Angus, Laila revealed her own negotiation tactics.
“What about the negotiation side of things?” Angus enquired. “Are you a tough negotiator?”
To which Laila responded: “Well I’m going to try,” before raising a fist and adding: “Otherwise, I’m going to get them in a headlock!”
Later in the episode, Laila spotted an ornate chair she fancied but had to negotiate down its £110 price tag.
“I like it, I think it’s nice,” she commented, to which Angus added: “I think we need to get a reasonable discount on that to give us a fighting chance. But we can try and negotiate.”

Lalia had a different tactic in mind: “Well, I could kick him in the shins?”
In a state of mock disbelief, Angus recoiled and covered his mouth, suggesting: “We could try. There’s no harm in trying, is there?”
Laila, ever the good sport, erupted into laughter. “Or we could just ask him politely if he’ll let us have it for 50 quid.”

“I’m just a bit worried, in case we don’t make good profits,” Angus added.
