EastEnders’ Joel Marshall’s vile behaviour takes dark turn as he hits Vicki Fowler
Next week, EastEnders’ Joel Marshall’s storyline takes a dramatic twist, as spoilers have revealed the teen will lash out at his stepmum Vicki Fowler.
The young lad has been stirring up trouble since he first set foot in Albert Square earlier this year, with his appalling behaviour and sexist attitudes. His stepmother Vicki has tried to reach out to him, but Joel has continued to show her nothing but disrespect.
Fans have been speculating that Joel would escalate his behaviour and become violent towards his stepmum ever since a ‘chilling scene’ a few weeks ago. Feeling cornered, Vicki asked teacher Julie Bates to have a chat with Joel, but the teen was far from pleased when she left.
Facing off with Vicki, Joel angrily said: “She thinks she knows everything! It’s no wonder she ended up with some loser who’s gone soft in the head,” referring to Nigel. Things then took a sinister turn as Joel got in Vicki’s face and said: “Listen to me very carefully. Don’t you ever embarrass me again like you did today. Do you understand?, reports the Mirror.
He then stormed off, leaving Vicki looking petrified. Now, Vicki, and fans’ worst fears have been realised, spoilers for next week reveal. The pair will be seen clashing over his sexist views once again.
Ross tries to defuse the situation, but a defiant Joel retorts and storms off. Vicki and Ross are at their wits’ end trying to rein in his behaviour, and the next day, things take a turn for the worse.
An incident later occurs at school, involving Joel and Tommy. This sparks debate in Walford as parents and their teens discuss the consequences of the event, and the impact of harmful content online.
It’s then when Kat, Alife, Ross and Vicki attempt to challenge Joel and Tommy on their misogynistic views, however things take a sinister turn when they head back to Number 43 and Joel strikes Vicki.
Since Joel’s arrival earlier this year, he’s been involved in a number of despicable acts. When he joined the Square, he became intimate with Avani Nandra Hart, and it was revealed he had recorded the whole thing without her consent.
She then later discovered she was pregnant, and decided to have a termination. When Joel found out, he began to verbally attack her for not consulting him.
Elsewhere, we saw him assault Isla on the tube, with Vicki paying her to not take it any further.
