Coronation Street star returns after 13 years in concerning new Tim storyline
Coronation Street spoilers for next week will see a new storyline surrounding Tim Metcalfe
Coronation Street will be welcoming a new character next week in a concerning new Tim Metcalfe storyline.

It comes as Coronation Street won Best Soap at the Inside Soap Awards 2025 on Monday night.
In spoilers for next week, Tim, played by Joe Duttine, bumps into an old flame while picking up a taxi order where he instantly recognises the customer as his ex Trisha Pinkerton, a girl he knew back in the 80s.
Later, as Tim and wife Sally Metcalfe celebrate their anniversary, she kindly suggests Tim goes to the Rovers to cheer Kevin Webster up following a tough few months.
However, it’s not long until Trisha arrives and catches Tim’s eye, where he explains to his pals that Trisha is a blast from his past.
The likes of Tyrone Dobbs and Steve McDonald are amused while Kevin is disapproving.
Later in the week, Trisha calls at the cab office to see Tim again and Sally is shocked to find her there.
As the two women have an awkward encounter, Trisha introduces herself while Sally points out that she’s Tim’s wife.

A furious Sally then confronts Tim, pointing out not only did he miss their anniversary meal but then she finds him entertaining Trisha in the cab office.
This leads to Sally storming out of the cab office to which Tim reminisces about Trisha, revealing he was only 14 when they got together but she was nearly 20.

The role of Trisha is being played by actress Anita Booth who has appeared on the cobbles before in the past. Anita played the role of Nadine back in 2012.
Anita’s other roles include DCI Banks as Mrs Bentley in 2012, Holby City as Barbra Lang in 2014, Vanity Fair as Lady Binkie in 2018, Intergalactic as Comms Booth Cashier in 2021, Doctors, Trying in 2024 and A Teacher’s Gift in 2025.

Meanwhile, Tim star Joe has been a staple on the cobbles since 2013 and his character has been in a relationship with Sally on the cobbles since 2013.
