Coronation Street’s Claire Sweeney declares love in emotional ‘beautiful boy’ tribute
The actress spent the weekend celebrating her son, Jaxon
Claire Sweeney was flooded with messages as she posted an emotional tribute to her ‘beautiful boy’ ahead of returning to work on Coronation Street.
The actress spent the weekend celebrating her son, Jaxon, as he marked his 11th birthday, which falls on Monday (September 29).
Ahead of the weekend, Claire shared a selfie of the two to her Instagram Story, which she captioned it “Birthday weekend for my boy”, alongside a red love heart emoji.
On her main grid, alongside a string of pictures of her son over the years, she also posted: “I love you. 11 years of joy with you my beautiful boy.”

And her followers were quick to respond. Broadcaster Vanessa Feltz said: “Absolutely terrific boy. You have smashed it. Happy birthday sweetheart.” Emmerdale’s Michelle Hardwick commented: “Happy birthday Jaxon! Have a wonderful day.” Actress Hayley Tamaddon shared: “Amazing mama. Happy birthday Jaxon.”
Claire, who is best known for playing Cassie Plummer in the ITV soap, has since returned to her social media profile and have a glimpse at how they celebrated Jaxon’s birthday early.
The 54-year-old revealed how they’d headed to a Fawlty Towers dining experience, which she says the birthday boy loved. Alongside a video of pictures and clips, she said: “We had the best afternoon @thefaultytowers dining experience.”
Claire added: “Jaxon laughed so much he loved it [heart emoji]. Jaxon loves Fawlty Towers.”
It was on Monday (September 29) that Claire confirmed why the birthday celebrations came early. Alongside a photo of the beaming pair, she said: “I’m back to work and he’s back to school, so spent the whole weekend celebrating his birthday.”

It comes after Claire hared her first update on social media since paying a heartbreaking tribute to her former partner, Ricky Hatton.
The soap star returned to Instagram last week with a sweet snap of her and her young son, Jaxon, in a warm embrace as they spent some quality time together in the capital.
