Corrie fans ‘figure out’ Becky Swain’s long-lost daughter is cobbles resident
Coronation Street viewers are speculating that Becky Swain has another daughter who is already known to viewers.
Becky, played by Amy Cudden, was introduced to the ITV soap this month as the presumed deceased wife of Lisa Swain, portrayed by Vicky Myers. The character of Becky, a police officer, was reportedly killed in 2021 during a pursuit of a suspect who struck her with a fleeing vehicle.
Since then, Lisa and their daughter Betsy, played by Sydney Martin, have been trying to move forward while mourning Becky’s loss. Last month, Lisa became engaged to Carla Connor, played by Alison King, and everything appeared to be progressing smoothly for the enamoured pair.
However, it was revealed that Becky is actually alive, and she made her shocking return last week, much to Lisa’s surprise.

Becky explained that she ‘had to die’ in order to enter witness protection following a botched undercover operation, reports the Daily Star. Despite Lisa’s desire to keep Betsy from learning the truth, the teenager eventually found out that her mother had not been dead all along, leaving her overwhelmed with emotion.
In Friday’s episode (19 September), Becky was at Lisa and Carla’s house, but an emotional Betsy told her she didn’t want to see her for the time being.
Moreover, later in the episode, the soap hinted that Becky was still concealing something significant from Lisa when she was questioned by her ex about the witness protection paperwork. Becky evaded the question and appeared uncomfortable, leaving Lisa suspicious.
Moreover, fans are speculating that Becky may have more secrets to reveal, possibly involving a surprise child.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one viewer queried: “How long is Becky staying? If Betsy doesn’t want anything to do with her then there is no point her sticking around.” Another fan proposed a theory: “She has another kid. You heard it here first.”
A third person suggested Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), simply writing: “Lauren?” This was echoed by another who also wrote: “Lauren.”
A fifth fan expressed: “I would low-key love this because then we’d get more Betsy and Lauren scenes.”
